Ollert is a fictional Trello-like project management software that uses workspaces similar to Slack. This is a fictional project.

The company wants to retain clients and resolve customer complaints about the complicated sign-on process.
Currently, a separate password is required for each workspace that users want to log into.
Note
If I had access to the product, IT, or development team, here are questions I would ask:
1) At what point in the user flow is the user presented with the option to choose a workspace?
2) Why is there a need for separate passwords for each workspace? Are there security or technology constraints?
Design a second login screen that highlights the new magic-link sign-on. Still provide the option to log in with a password.
I created a more cohesive login experience by providing both login options on one screen to
decrease the number of clicks and
decrease confusion between options when going between screens.
The magic link option is positioned first to
highlight the new feature and
allow for explanation text that doesn’t look like a disclaimer.
I revised the text to be more concise, clear, and address potential user concerns about security risks.
"Guess what!? You don’t have to use your password anymore. Tap or click here if you want to get a sign in link to your inbox that will let you sign in without any problems. This will allow you to log-in to all of your projects fast - no password necessary! Once you do that, you’re good to go."
"Follow the link in your inbox to log in to all of your workspaces with the same security as a password."
